Durian BBQ at Mantin

2008-07-19 (Sat), with the MALAYSIA BOLEH spirit, we had finally successfully organized a trip to my daddy's durian farm. Believe me, I seldom "Ajak" my friends go to my hometown, where it is a place with nothing to do at all day long. In chinese, we said it was a "鸟不生蛋的地方", translated to "A place with birds not even lay their eggs here".

This small town called -- Mantin. It located between Seremban and Nilai, where if you travel from Seremban to Nilai using the old road, you will definitely locate it.

Back the title, with a team of 10ppl (where initially, we would expect 16ppl, lastly 3pairs is PP.., especially the most "Semangat" pair), we started our journey from Melaka at around10am, in a heavy rainy day.

We equipped ourselve with Walkie Talkie, unfortunately it is not enough, 3 sets to be share amongst 5cars. Don't be shock that, Yes, it's truth! believe it! In a high fuel price, we still driving 5cars with 10 ppls in total. That's the reason mentioned earlier, we all filled with "Malaysia Boleh" spirit.


5cars met up in the petrol station right after "Alor Gajah Toll", with a short toilet break. We did stop by Jusco, Seremban 2, to drop one of the car to friend's mother, and continue our trip straight to Mantin. By that time, the rain is getting lighter, and it's almost stopped.

We stop-by at the town area of Mantin by 12pm, and having a "very light" lunch at the famous "Hakka Yong Tau Fu", with filled with pork. A food that I miss so much after migrated to Melaka. We normally see "Yong tau Fu" with fish fillet, not pork. No Pork, ok? @#$%^&*... (remind me on the famous singapore "No pork" clip, damn funny..)

At around 1pm, we arrived at my home. a place with filled durian smell.
We have open a "Durian BBQ" immediately, with "eat all you can" offers.
I do hope my friends having a wonderful time at my home, with those durian, and strange mangosteen.
I apologize for the jungle trip where we had to walk out so far away from the farm out to the parking area. Friends, it;s time to wash you shoes. M, sorry ya, getting you brand new shoes into dirt.

The crap session at night, we went to a restaurant with "not famous, but locally recommended", I would say it is comparable to the "most famous" restaurant in seremban. And a very good site dishes, "瓦煲老鼠粉", thumb up!! very very nice.
